Buyers will have the chance to 'speed date' overseas venues and destinations as part of a new feature at 2009's International Confex, helping them to get the most out of their time at the packed three day show.

The Around The World in 80 seconds feature is delivered by Corkscrew events and promises fast, effective and efficient networking. Buyers will be able to book a morning or afternoon session to meet international exhibitors and put their event queries to them. The exhibitor will then have 80 seconds to outline why they would be suitable. As a result buyers are able to quickly decide if a venue or destination is for them and whether it warrants a more in depth meeting at a later date.

Duncan Reid, Event Director explains, "It is important to ensure that visitors leave Confex with the inspiration they need to make their event a success and this new speed networking feature gives them the information they need quickly. Visitors can make those all important introductions with up to 30 international suppliers without cutting into their busy schedules, leaving them time to enjoy the rest of the show."
