Luxury Lodges of Australia launched last week at ATE 2010, becoming the first collective marketing organisation for luxury tourism in Australia. The new association includes 15 of Australia’s leading independent luxury tourism properties and will work to promote the properties domestically and internationally. They include Wolgan Valley; The Louise; Lizard and Bedarra Islands; qualia; Longitude 131; Cape Lodge; Lake House; Spicers Clovelly Estate and Spicers Peak Lodge; Capella and Southern Ocean Lodges; and Wild Bush Luxury’s Arkaba Station, Bamurru Plains and Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef. “This is an exciting time for all of us because finally Australian luxury has come of age,” said the association’s Director and Chair James Baillie. “For the first time in the history of this country we have an amazing new smorgasbord of incredible luxury experiences throughout the country and that’s really exciting” “We see Luxury Lodges of Australia being the reference point for experiential luxury in Australia” “We hope that it’s going to spur new investment and that there will be new fantastic luxury product coming up in future years.” Tourism Australia also showed its support to the association, with Managing Director Andrew McEvoy saying the initiative was a great demonstration of the tagline, “Nothing Like Australia.” more information: http://www.luxurylodgesofaustralia.com.au/
