Armani Hotel Milano has opened its doors, the second hotel to be launched within the Armani Hotels & Resorts portfolio after Armani Hotel Dubai in Burj Khalifa.
An opening party for 300-plus guests was held in Bamboo Lounge, followed by dinner in Armani Ristorante and party in Armani Prive night spot, which was attended by top Italian socialites and celebrities such as Jessica Alba and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
Inside, the 95 rooms and suites offer a variety of options from Armani Deluxe rooms (up to 45 square metres) to Armani Signature and Armani Presidential suites, ranging from 170 to 200 square metres, on two levels connected by a stairway.
Minibars, hi-tech amenities and cupboards that vanish into the walls are among the novel design touches, and every room features a small vestibule that creates an intervening space before the bedroom.
Each bathroom has been built with two people in mind, with a shower enclosure containg discreet one-way glass that allows a view out from inside the shower cubicle, but no view in. The floors and walls are creamy brown clad in silk georgette, a smooth limestone from Asia.

All the public areas are concentrated on the seventh and eighth floors in the so-called glass 'hat', which affords a striking panorama of the city, from the historic Duomo to modern skyscrapers.
The Armani/Ristorante is located on the seventh floor, where it offers traditional Italian gastronomy, exclusive cellared beverage list, private dining room and a Chef’s Table within the kitchen itself. On the opposite side, the Armani/Lounge with the Armani/Bamboo lounge looks out over the skyline.
The 1,200sqm eighth floor is devoted to beauty and relaxation, blending treatments and therapies. The Armani/SPA consists of six dedicated treatment rooms, a Couples Suite, 24-hour fitness gym and a temperature-controlled pool.
The 200sqm Armani/Business Centre, containing a private conference room and two boardrooms, is also open round the clock. As well as audiovisual equipment, IT resources, conference facilities and remote-controlled lighting, a separate kitchen is avaiable for immediate service.
