Tabacón Grand Spa Thermal Resort is located in Costa Rica’s northern region, at the foot of the majestic Arenal Volcano. A true tropical paradise of nature, adventure and relaxation, Tabacón Grand Spa Thermal Resort provides luxurious accommodation, service and amenities in a natural lush setting. The resort’s unique thermal springs emerge directly from the volcano, cascading to form waterfalls, streams, tranquil pools and ponds, surrounded by lavish tropical gardens. This luxurious and beautiful paradise is nestled in primary rainforest within the protected boundaries of the Arenal National Park.

Tabacón Grand Spa Thermal Resort has 114 luxurious guest rooms that feature 42” flat screen televisions, DVD players, safety boxes, Internet, coffee makers, mini bar and hairdryers, to mention a few. These are all the luxuries you can expect to find in top London, New York or blackpool hotels. However you may not get such a tropical view!  Other services available are a 500 DVD movie library, 24 hours room service, and a private Gala Dinner for couples in a private bungalow in the rainforest with a private chef and waiter.

Our guests can chose from two restaurants: Los Tucanes, an open-air fine dining restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner a la carte. A special Spa Menu, “Ayurveda”, is also available upon request. Ave del Paraiso is a casual dining restaurant, serving an a la carte lunch and buffet dinner overlooking the tropical gardens, hot springs and main waterfall.

The Grand Spa covers 35,000 square meters, and offers the treatments in 11 open-air bungalows located in the middle of the rainforest. The signature Tabacón Massage begins with a series of bends and stretches to regulate the body’s flow of vital energy, and concludes with volcanic mud vigorously massages into the body. Not to miss is Temazcal  the old native  indian cleansing ritual for mind, body and soul. This takes place in the traditional sweat lodge.
